thoroughly enjoy your game! i thought i would share some suggestions for future updates:
-add an undo button for most recent action. (missclicks/lag can ruin runs otherwise)
-increase the sliding effect when hovering over cards to make selection of low inventory cards easier. (increase size of cards surrounding cursor?)
-incorporate demolition/terraform cards (1 per draw cycle) to increase strategic play in late game. (dynamite for mountains and any user placed card would be particularly useful, but would lower stats corresponding to the destroyed tile/card)
-add a water tile with solar, wind, and farm/fishing use cases.
-water tile opens up the ability for nuclear and hydro energy. solar placed next to water tiles can be upgraded by placing another solar panel on top. wind placed on top of a water tile can be upgraded in the same way with a duplicate wind card. solar should also be able to be placed on water. water placement for either should cost food.
-energy storage cards should gain an energy and/or nature buff by placing them next to one another.
-farms should gain a nature buff by being placed on plains/grass tiles, and next to water tiles or residential buildings.

mountains might feel like they interrupt the flow of the game, but i quite like the challenge of incorporating them into the infrastructure. also, if you pushed this game on mobile devices, people would eat it up.

all the best with your work :)

Thank you very much for this feedback! I really appreciate this answer, I even got  motivated again to develop this game further. Thanks, I will implement as much as I can.

you are most welcome :)

creating something novel can be emotionally taxing. be patient with yourself!

a lot of the time good work goes unrecognized at first, which can make it difficult for us to personally invest in what we do. don't be afraid to commit for a while without the expectation of recognition or compensation, then adjust your goals along the way. motivation will come when you're emotionally ready and inspired creatively. doesn't hurt to take it slow, though!

i'll let you know if i think of anything else along the way :)

very fun!!

Thanks!
